I’d like to start with a disclaimer: there is no magic potion, fruit, or yoga pose that will make you live forever; none that have been scientifically proven, that is. This blog is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. This blog is meant to bring you digested health information and relate it to my personal and professional life… because I try really hard. And that’s what counts, right? There are things we can change about our health behaviors, but let’s keep in mind that there are some factors that make an impact on our health that we have no control over. I’ll do my best to find interesting tidbits about both, because as much as you might want to improve your health, sometimes we have to be real.
I am a health educator. The new term for my career is health promotion but I’m old school because I graduated two years before my university changed the name of the degree. I also am pursuing a graduate degree in Information—think librarian. Naturally, health education + information = awesome blog. I am also overweight, have the palate of a four-year-old, and am “too busy” to exercise. No, really. So, as I find what I hope is interesting and useful information for you I will also be sharing my epic adventures of applying all that I know about improving health behaviors to my own life. Let me know what you want to learn about next so you don’t get sick of this blog!
